14713: Pierre Jean: Re: 14703: jhudicourtb: lists and Haitian politics (fwd)

From: Pierre Jean <pierrejean01@yahoo.com>

To further the point made by Hudicourt, it is
interesting to note that many of us are quick to
denounce the United States government in general for
its misdeeds, lies, deceit, etc. yet we are quick to
jump on a document produced by same government to make
our point, even though that document is outdated,
partially inaccurate, and meant more as a political
tool than a real compilation of coup supporters. Was
BNC, among all the cited, really a coup supporter?

On the other hand, the list of passport numbers may be
accurate (the birth dates sure are!), yet it is also
true that all but 2 of the people cited have not
broken any Haitian laws. So what's the point of
including them on the list? And what benefit do we
derive from seeing two children (actually a toddler
and a young child judging by the dates of birth)
listed? What do they have to do with anything?

Come on, folks. We can do better than that. Maybe Mr.
Nadal could start by telling us what his platform
would be if he ran for president.
