...and the worst that happens when a child's feelings are never
acknowledged
from a very early age, and he is deprived and beaten, etc., is that he
becomes
a sociopath--unable to empathize at all, or have any feelings at all for
other
people (and even for himself, it would seem). Some sociopaths fill very
socially acceptable positions in society--lawyers, politicians, even
members of
governments. Others end up filling prisons and on death row. --nancylaleau
