Charles,

This is yet another manifestation of a desperate want some people feel to
link something (anything !) European to the Pan-African revolution of Haiti.
Many cannot bring themselves to look at these Africans (who came from
multiple peoples of Africa: Mayi, Mandingue, Ibo, Congo etc...) within their
own frame of reference. That of kidnapped, displaced and enslaved Africans
who were fighting the tyranny of white supremacy freshly gone global.

Strangely enough, Toussaint, who was very dead (starved to death in Europe)
by the time his African brothers and sisters eventually defeated all their
European terrorists (Spanish, British and French), is being covered with all
kinds of suspicious "hommage" for things he had not done - while most of the
extraordinarily great things he actually did do remain safely burried.

Meanwhile, the amizing exploits of Haiti's ultimate liberator, the Father of
HUMAN FREEDOM in the "New World", the one who put the biggest nail in the
coffin of the barbarism, racial slavery and White Supremacy....his Majesty
Jean-Jacques Dessalines (peace be unto him!)...are effectively being
overshawdowed - this with the misuse of Toussaint's glorious deeds (We
recognize this game: it's also called "fakepraising a mythological King to
better burry both Malcom and the real King".)

True dat! But you are too concerned with facts Charles. Next thing you know,
the debate will reopen over whether Haiti or these United States of
Amerikkka represent the oldest "democracy" of the continent. Or whether the
Africans (including 12 year old Christophe) who fought at Savannah were
"French volunteers" helping their American brothers fight for Liberty and
the Pursuit of Hapiness.

Some people will continue to claim it is yellow fever that liberated the
Africans, others will satisfy themselves saying it was Satan (remember the
pact !) who did it, others will claim it is the french revolution that
inspired the Africans to realize "slavery bad - freedom good"....etc...

Yes, it is indeed sad that this sordid game of history revision and
manipulation is being played by Haitians and interested foreigners alike.
However, as majestic as the pyramids of Kufu stand in the Kemetic sands, the
very existence of the Haitian people continues to bear testimony to the
historical FACT that a whole race of people, led by his Majesty Jean-Jacques
Dessalines did fight, bleed and die to defeat the barbarism of White
Supremacist Racial Slavery.

The struggle continues indeed!
