Although this is in no way controversial, can this please be posted
anonymously?

I would like to suggest, for those of you on the list who wish to understand
what is happening and has happened in Haiti over the past few years, to read
Ives' report and analysis of Peter Dailey's review. (Post 15121). I don't
usually read his Weekley Review but did so quite by accident. I thought it's
quite exhaustive.

This is perhaps the best, and also the most factually accurate report that I
have read so far about "what's what since whenever 1994 to today" in Haiti.

I also wanted to say this. I haven't read Mr. Fatton's book yet. I've heard
him speak many a times. In al fairness to him, I know that he is an
absolutely brilliant and fair analyst of Haitian politics. Absolutely. So I
urge you to do what I will this week, if you can to buy it as well.

I was shocked to read Dailey's translation of it, and was as well "puzzled"
to say the list. I won't go into conspiracy theory. Not at all. That was
obvioulsy Dailey's opinion. But I urge you all who care to understand recent
events, in fact since 1994-95, to read post 15121. Acuurate for the most
part. Quite accurate.
