Yes, Laraque is of Haitian heritage.  Supposedly his father immigrated to
Canada in the late 70's.  Incidentally, while watching the Oilers-Stars game
last night, the cameras zoomed in on Laraque's father, as it was his first time
watching Georges play in Edmonton.

Is this Haitian connection merit an NHL playoff-watching location for
Corbetters?  I'm game...
