La Troupe Makandal will perform Sunday, May 18, at the Haitian American
Cultural Festival, Mount Morris Park on Eastern Parkway between
Washington and Underhill Avenues.  The festival hours are 12 pm to 9 pm,
and stage performances begin at 3 pm.  The Troupe has prepared a special
number for the Flag Day bicentennial.  Other featured groups are System
Band, Tabou Combo, Beethova Obas, T-Vice, Phantoms, and more.  Haitian
vendors will display their wares throughout the day.  Minimum donation:
$10.
