The late Feliks Moriso Lewa, our Great Morisseau-Leroy
had already warned us about the OAS and the IMF as two
modern instruments of colonialism. It was in the early
nineties. His admonestation was not just another
piece of poetry.
As you said it, the OAS is not just paternalistic in
its handling of the Haitian crisis. Looking at the
immediate history of this organization's involvment in
Haitian national affairs clearly demonstrates that OAS
is at the origin and the originator of the Haitian
crisis that went overboard after the May 2001
elections. The OAS is tailgating the Aristide
administration every single day, asking for a sort of
accountability that even its patrons [the Bush
Administration] cannot ensure within the very borders
of the US territory.
Ayibobo!
