HAITI REBORN SEEKS INTERN!
Haiti Reborn, a program of the Quixote Center seeks a progessive and an
energitic intern to coordinate information for the upcoming Let Haiti
Live Book. Haiti Reborn/Quixote Center hopes to publish this book in the
first timester of 2004. This will be an informative and a comprehensive
book concerning the current situation in Haiti focused on the theme:
Unjust United States Policies toward Haiti. This is a non-pay
internship. We are looking for an intern who is able to commit 15-20
hours a week.
Project duties include but not limited to:
Coordinating incoming information for the book
Establishing an outreach database for the book
Facilitating the communication between the publisher and Haiti
Reborn in collaboration with the staff
Contacting contributors to do follow-up and sending out reminders
Creating flyer and other promotional materials for the book
Assisting the staff in putting together a list of potential editors
and fact checkers
Intern will work with program staff in the Haiti Reborn/Quixote Center
office. Intern must be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal
communication skills. Pay close attention to details and work well with
limited deadline. Ability to speak French and/or Creole is a plus. For
