American to Add Flights, Reduce Overall

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- American Airlines said Wednesday
it would add flights on some routes this fall to meet
higher demand but will reduce overall flights.

Fort Worth-based American, the world's largest carrier,
operates about 4,300 daily flights.

In a few cases, American will add new service on Nov. 1, a
spokesman said. Service will. . .start between
Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Port Au Prince, Haiti, and Santo
Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
