In Haiti:

It is offensive to point your finger at someone. It is OK point with your
chin.
It is offensive to point your flashlight at people at night.
The American middle finger insult is known.
Slapping your thigh and moving your hip forward (lifting your skirt),
indicates a challenge.
Brisk nod and eye blinking means what Americans mean by the middle finger.
Closing your eyes and turning your head at the same time is known as "kout
je" and means comtempt.
It is more polite to call someone towards your with your whole hand than a
single finger.
Slapping your two hands in front of you means you don't know what to do or
you can do nothing about the situation.
Putting both arms above your head means you are desperate.
Shaking your shoulders means, I don't know.
Holding your chin with your hand means you are very worried. (tet ou chaje)
