Desprit has been away from Corbettland searching for our ZEmi. Family
tradition gives some Taino heritage. We think when we find our Zemi we will
see things more clearly. Maybe our lwa/loa and zemi could become friends.

Tom Reeves' writing confuses us. here he states:

"Indeed, constant criticism of the Aristide government may be giving
support to U.S. policies that seek to isolate, censure and possibly
remove Haiti's elected president from office."

This is almost exactly what Donald Rumsfeld say 'bout criticism of U.S.
policy in Iraq. Unfortunately for Haiti, the boys and girl on the political
left outside of Haiti, such as Tom Reeves, or Kimi Ives, only serve the
powered interests by this type of analysis. When will reporters like Reeves
understand that political class in Haiti, Fami Lavalas and the Elite have
the same interests? The rhetoric of a rising tide lifting all boats is only
rhetoric. The aforementioned seek upward mobility. full stop. Portraying the
elite/political class/ fami lavalas and  Aristide as if they are fighting a
battle against international capital is naive and simplistic. What they are
really fighting for is their cut.
