16880: Ray, Looking for rehab folks in Florida and New York (fwd)

All, we're interested in establishing teams of people from Florida and
New York to go to Haiti with us from the rehabilitation community.
Basically, we'd like to have a team of rehab specialists who'd be
interested in going to Haiti once a year from these locations.    Keep
in mind that the pay really stinks (as in all volunteer work!) and in
most cases funds for going to Haiti will need to be raised by the
individual teams.      The reason we'd like to have teams from these two
areas is because of the high concentration of people in the Haitian
community in those areas.   Not only would we find Haitians to go
(imagine, a medical trip with no translators needed!) but we also feel
that because of the community it would be fairly easy to generate
interest in the trips as well as desire to assist in the trips,
financially.    We currently have teams going from Oregon, Utah,
Minnesota, Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Massachusetts (ah, finally one
with a large Haitian base!) and would love to have a team go from other
areas where there are large populations of Haitians.     If this is
something you'd be interested in doing/starting, please contact us and
we can help you get started.
