 FRANCE/HAITI
 ============

 In response to the UN appeal for emergency aid for Haiti, in the context
 of the integrated program for responding to the urgent needs of
 vulnerable communities and populations, the Foreign Ministry has decided
 to release 350,000 euros to the FAO. This sum will be a contribution to
 the project (totaling $850,000)  to support the construction of family
 water tanks in the north-west of Haiti which will reduce the incident of
 water-borne disease and improve the nutritional situation of several
 hundred families by giving them access to clean water.
