direct from Haiti.

Vodou flags by MYRLANDE CONSTANT, paintings and photographs
pertaining to GEDE will be exhibited in the upstairs gallery
through November 15.

Tap Tap Chef, A.J. HENFIELD (Yes, he is Haitian), will prepare a special
CHAKA
in honor of GEDE.

GEDE, the irrepressible Vodou spirit of sex, death and regeneration, is
celebrated on
November first and second.  This is the Haitian equivalent of the Day of
the Dead,
All Saints Day or Halloween.
