17144: Du Tuyau: regarding Kathleen Burke (fwd)

From: ViandeMoulue@aol.com

Dear Kathleen,

It's a nice name and that of my favorite sister. So, I enjoying reading your posts every single time you writing little something. Especially when I need understanding that I no can get yet.
You discussion last night I read, that sometime elections no is not the proper way for resolving problem politik. Yeah?!! Please tell for me. I am shivering, cold, hot, cold-hot at same time because I simply no understanding. This my understanding for watching the world politik, Missers Kathleen Burke.

Haiti has no civil war openly right now. Well, intellectually political, we have civil war maybe. But after Plateau Central and other place, Haiti no have civil war. So why elections no good for taking place in Haiti right around when it is requiring to take place? Explanations, please.

I surprise because if my memory holds correctly, I remember after left-wing socialist prone FMLN start fighting in El Salvador against right-wing government there in 1980, Reagan administration encouraged for help to have elections there, under heavy fightings and killings of people, true and real civil war, for elections of the more or less moderate now dead of cancer, Napoleon Duarte. Remember? Ah ha!!
Same thing happened in Nicaragua next door from El Salvador. While shooting was the political voice of pro-Regan Contras in El Salvador, elections take place in Nicaragua; well, of course no worry first time because..., well because Ortega's Sandinistas won. But second time, under Daddy Bush, Ortega lost after quick truce from war, and Missers Chamorro for the all-together "Convergentic" opposition, won elections. Remember? Ah-ha, again!! These elections took place while people were being killed by both sides in open civil wars.
These elections were acceptable to the world community, no? So what's so different today about Haiti? Why we cannot have elections? You mean to tell for me and say to me today, that if K-Plim wants to visit Site Solèy 20 times over during elections period, he will not be getting protection, even if caused by heavy pressure from the international community on Lavalas? Wow!! wow!! wow!! This is a joke, no? This is the part I dislike with the Convergence-prone thinkers and friends Haitians and foreigns. I tell you what, that pretext is like this one following. Please read.
It's like I asked my pretty-lupcious girlfriend for a glass of water because I say, "sweetie, I can't reach the frigidaire" but I closer to the frigidaire than she is, and my arms are long, long, long he he he ... you know...

That's the kind of Haitian political jokes I can no never understand. If I lazy for water, then "I can't reach". But oh boy, oh girl ... when I "thirsty", I'll reach the moon, just like I am sudden Astronaut Haitian... You know ...

Dear Kathy, I no buy that pretext. Convergence and most opposition afraid for elections because, they have spent the last 3 years jourey-ing/insulting Aristide and Lavalas, rather than preparing for elections through a rational and sustainable strategy, by focusing on the issues. They could have at least inflicted very heavy cut on the Lavalas long-arm politik. We all know it.

Now, for all the folks here intellectuals defendors Convergence, is that is how smart, and intellectuals, and forward-looking, and good probably for Haiti those guys are? After all, they no seem to see further than the tip of their political nose. That why is why they're tacticians, with not one single good strategist in their midst, either in Washington, DC he he he, or in Site Solèy, Ayiti he he he.

I know. Today right now, this logic is Lavalas. Just stating facts here. Later with next email, my logic will be CIA for Lavalas he he he.

What up', guys and girls?? Getting reasonable yet? If so, then it's real kool ... to be on Corbettland with you.
