17417: Lally: Haiti wins Top prize at the V Caribbean Biennial

The V Caribbean Biennial opened at the Museo de Arte Moderno , 7th
November.

All countries in the Caribbean region were invited to submit artists for
this
event.
Haiti was represented by three artists:
Vladimir Cybil
Edouard Duval-Carrie
Vickie Pierre

The judges gave three equal Ist prizes:
1. Vladimir  Cybil, was awarded a solo show at the Museo de Arte Moderno.
2. The Panamanian artist , Donna Conlon  was awarded a residency prize.
3. The Dominican photographer  Polibio Diaz, obtained the publishing
prize.
