In my conversations about Aristide with peasants (andeyo Jacmel at least),
the
concensus is not so much that they want Arisitide, but that they want
democracy.  And so Aristide must finish his 5 year term to preserve
democracy.
I have not had any conversations with anyone where I could find support
for
Aristide himself, his actions or his government.
