18927: Simidor: Credibility anyone? (fwd)

Re: TransAfrica’s February 17, 2004 “Statement on Haiti”
Until TransAfrica distances itself from its former director, Randall Robinson, on account of Mr. Robinson’s wife’s client relationship with the Aristide government in Haiti, TransAfrica renounces all credibility when it comes to Haiti. The South African apartheid system actually held perfectly good elections prior to the 1990s, but the “international community,” partly due to TransAfrica’s own efforts, rejected those elections, based on the fact that they involved less than 15% of the overall electorate. Well, guess what? Mr. Aristide’s reelections in Nov. 2000 also involved less than 15% of the Haitian electorate, and held to the same majority principle, carry very little legitimacy indeed. Credibility anyone?
