For those of who are unfamiliar with the phenomena of
child-slavery/"Restavek" in Haiti, I recommend the short narrative, The
Cruelty of Invisibility: A First-hand Account of Child Slavery in Haiti, by
Jean-Robert Cadet.

Few restavek have the good fortune of Mr. Cadet. IMHO, an economy which
requires that parents give up their children in order for the child to
survive is at the root of this evil. With your help, this can change.  Mr.
