1.  Corbett listmembers  who would like to see this change could start by
telling their senators and congressional representatives.

While sharing your ideas and suggestions with listmembersthis list is all
well and good, your ideas have a better chance of being implemented if you
tell your elected representatives.

addresses.  (IMHO everyone of you who want to be an "agent of change" should

2.  Although I provided the following recommendations to an appropriate Army
channel, the Army doesn't make policy!   If you agree with these
recommendations or have some of your own, tell your elected representatives!

Why not:

a. Work with CARE-HAITI and other NGOs by providing supplies, protection and
transportation?

b. Use helicopters to carry donated foodstuffs (grains, cooking oil, salt,
canned foods/meats) and medical assistance teamsto hard-to-reach villages?


c. Provide engineer units to dig wells and assist with sanitation
infrastructure?

d. Show America's "kind face" for a change (and stay out of their politics).


Above all- remember to hire locals to translate Haitian-Creole!  Don't send
a team to a rural village without one.
