IMHO, any demand on Haiti's treasury, be it for interest or return of
principal is absurd. Haiti needs every gourde she's got to take care of
business at home! Given our intention is to (finally) release aid dollars,
every dollar taken from Haiti to satisfy old debt, must be replaced by a new
dollar, plus the administrative costs of providing and tracking that dollar.
One hopes our government understands the benefits to be gained by reducing
administrative costs.

retired in 2003 and still lives/lurks among us.
