Airline delays restoration of Haiti service

American Airlines said Thursday that it is postponing the resumption of its
flights to Haiti until Tuesday. The airline, which suspended flights between
the United States and Haiti on Feb. 26, had said earlier this week that it
planned to restore the flights Friday.

However, American said it needs more time to coordinate its local employees
and prepare its airport terminal facilities for customers.

The airline will restore service to Port-au-Prince with two daily flights
from Miami, one from New York's Kennedy Airport, and another flight, five
days a week, from Fort Lauderdale.
