<< Historians report that "In the decade following the [1957] ascent of
Dr. Francois Duvalier to powerE280A6 264 physicians graduated from the
state medical school, and all but 3 left the country."

Dr Farmer could kindly disclose the reference from which the above
citation was taken ? I am afraid that it is innacurate based on the
information(###) that is readily available in the database of Haiti
Medical (http://www.haitimedical.com). There has been a sustained
migration of Haitian professionals - not just doctors - with the
Duvalier and this has been sustained process since then. However, for an
"historian" to say that "all but 3 left the country" is absolutely false
and that assertion was not based on facts. The database used by
HaitiMedical.com was patiently compiled by an independent Haitian
physician residing in Haiti who has graciously made it available to us.
It is probably the most authoritative and the only work of its kind done
on that subject (1927 to date). Just by glancing at the tables, I was
able to extract the names below with the class to which they belong -
all of them between 1957 and 1967.

(###) - Just a quick sample :

	Reynold Monsanto+ 1960
	Jeanne Philippe 1961
	Wilner Noel 1963
	Rony Gilot 1966
	Fritz Guillaume 1966
	Serge Toureau 1966
	Josette Bijou 1967
