Free calendar details Haitian celebrations


Miami Haiti Bicentennial 1804-2004, Miami-Dade County's ''official''
calendar of cultural events and celebrations commemorating the 200th
anniversary of the independence of Haiti, is now available free of charge
through the county's Department of Cultural Affairs.

The guide includes a detailed listing of cultural happenings through April,
and also features local Haitian landmarks as well as artwork by Haitian
artists.

The ''A Taste of Haiti'' section highlights various local businesses,
bookstores, galleries, museums, restaurants and places of interest that
promote Haitian culture.

Miami Haiti Bicentennial 1804-2004 is a collaboration between the Greater
Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Miami-Dade County Department of
Cultural Affairs.
