1) Re the 4 countries who care:

Which is the 4th country? The Dominican Republic???

2) Re democracy taking root in Haiti:

Democracy or oligarchy?  Enforced by the boots and weapons of the good old US
of A, Canada and France and that mysterious 4th country, overseeing a
reconstituted Haitian Army and Police Force peopled by the likes of Chamblain,
Philippe et al.???

With such benevolent friends, who needs enemies?


Goodman goes on to say:

"I can predict that ... Haiti becomes "The Pearl" again..."

Whose Pearl???
