20808: Mason Re 20797, 20802: Holmstead Re Goude vs Dollar (fwd)

Holmstead expresses in two recent Corbett posts his consternation that the
Goude is going up in value and the U.S. Dollar is going down in value:

20797:

"What no one is talking about is that the dollar has fallen dramatically here
in the last two weeks. From a high of 42 gourdes two weeks ago to today's low
of 22.5 gourdes per dollar. That's one hell of a devaluation. Prices have not
fallen for basic goods or gasoline translating into diminished buying power
and increased suffering for the majority of the population. It means outrageous
profits for the business class at today's rate of exchange. What a pay off."

20802:

"The gov't did not order any edict changing the exchange rate so how could
the dollar have fallen so quickly? From over 40 gourdes two weeks ago to 22.5
gourdes today. Does that mean that the dollar was artificially higher because
people took dollars out of circulation before Aristide's departure? Does that
mean they have now flooded the market with dollars again forcing the gourde
higher in value? What does this mean to the great many poor folks who depend upon
their loved ones abroad to help by sending US dollars to them?"

War profiteering is not a new dynamic; it is not unique to Haiti; neither is
Haiti (nor its behind-the-scenes Masters) exempt from such a "greed" dynamic.

Carried out on the backs of "working class" folk across the globe who feed
their U.S. Dollars into such a "greed" machine.


In 20802, you mentioned: "The gov't".

Which government??? The deposed one? The imported one? The coup-sponsoring
one? The "rebel" one? Does it matter?


"Working Class" Haitian People across the globe (at home and in the Diaspora)
have been / are still being "screwed" by those who want a "new world order"
for Haiti:

- For the rich to get richer.

- For the poor to get poorer.

- For the instrument of global government to "turn the screws tighter" on
those who will be filtered through the "offshore manufacturing plants" (in Haiti,
on the Haiti-Dominican border and beyond), much like the Jews were filtered
through the gas chambers!


Why were so many so willing to buy into such a pasted-together
destabilization plan for Haiti?

Could it be they "could not see the forest for the trees"???

And maybe now they're beginning to think they don't like the forests so very
much???
