Haiti again will call South Florida home for its next round of CONCACAF
World Cup qualifying matches. The national team will face Jamaica on June 12
at the Orange Bowl in its home leg of the two-game aggregate-goals series.

Although the turmoil that plagued the country during Haitis previous round
of qualifiers has abated, the Haitian soccer federation, CONCACAF and FIFA
officials again saw a viable alternative in South Florida, Haiti coach
Fernando Clavijo said before a news conference Monday at the Orange Bowl.

''Thank God the situation in Haiti is better, but security concerns are
still a factor,'' Clavijo said.

Haiti advanced to face Jamaica after defeating Turks and Caicos Islands in
Haiti's previous round of qualifiers Feb. 18 and 21.

''We know we will be facing a very formidable side in Jamaica, which has
players in Europe,'' Clavijo said. ``We are still a team in diapers as far
as our development, but we have the talent to some day wear the business
suits.''

Jamaicas home match of the two-game series will be June 19.

ADU AT LOCKHART

Freddy Adu, 14, will be part of the under-20 United States national team
that will play a local team consisting primarily of players from Seleccion
Haiti on April 21 at Lockhart Stadium.

Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 the day of the game and $5 for children
under 12. For information, call 1-877-877-7677.
