Coming from a part of the U.S. where "armed irregulars"  initiated "the shot
heard round the world"
and a good friend reenacts the battle of Lexington on the green every April
19, I feel to my bones that armed irregulars are necessary and good for
protection and revolution, when the armed "regulars" are either cowards or
tyrants and thieves.  Hey, maybe that's just me.  But living in Haiti and
establishing a group or business without armed irregulars --- well, I think
"looted" or even "killed."
