I don't know what size the "gommier" has to reach in order to be regularly
harvested...
But it is one of the fastest amongst haitian fast-growing trees...
develops
pretty well almost everywhere (plain and hills, dry soil or not)...
Perhapos gum is of better quality if harvested from trees growing in dry
soils,
more concentrated... If so, trees grow not this fast obviously...
Besides, easily reproduced by planting a cutting ("pyepran")... No need to
start from seed (at least in places not lacking of any rain...)
