Verettes and Fond Verettes are 2 different places, miles away from each
other. Verettes is in the Artibonite near Deschapelles and Lachapelle, not too far
from the Central Plateau you are writing from. Fond Verettes is closer to
Port-au-Prince, in the southern part of the border between Haiti and the DR.
One of the reasons it is flooded is that it is between 2 chains of mountains,
west of the La Selle Chain of mountains which you see from Kenscoff. It is on
the way to Foret des Pins which you access through the Croix des Bouquets road.
Cutting of the forest is partially responsible for the floods.
