More information about Mr. Vixamar seems to be in order.  While Mr.
Vixamar's candidacy for state office is certainly a matter of pride for
many, the note from Joseph Alfred did not  mention Mr. Vixamar's
qualifications. Without a statement of qualifications it had the unintended
effect of sounding like "vote for Vixamar because he's Haitian."  I'm sure
that was not Mr. Alfred's intention.  Running for public office is less a
mark of success than possessing the positive set of values, life and work
achievements that support a candidacy.
