22667: Minsky:Other things about the JacmeFilm Festival--through july 18 (fwd)
From: "tminsky@ix.netcom.com" <tminsky@ix.netcom.com>
I mentioned that the films are shown in 5 venues and at night
a huge screen, HUGE, is set up near the Teleco on the main drag. A PACKED
street of Jacmelians watch the film (and REALLY like the sex scenes!)
The video projection equipment for 5 of the 6 venues all came from NY
via Delaware, driven to Miami by truck, shipped by boat PAP, cleared
customs and picked up by co-director David Belle. A technician from NY
is here attending to all this equipment.
A local generator is in use for the outdoor projections inorder to assure
that there won't be any electricity snafus and that the festival is totally
technologically self sufficient. AND for the most part things are running
on time!!!!
A sampling of the films! Repeated through the program...
