Dear Friends of Haiti:



The Inter-American Foundation (IAF) has extended its deadline for grant
applications from Haiti until September 1, 2004.  The IAF is an agency of
the United States government that provides grants to nongovernmental and
community-based organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean for
innovative, sustainable and participatory self-help programs.  The IAF views
the Haitian Diaspora as an integral part of Haiti and would like to
facilitate and enhance their involvement in the development of their
country.  While we can not fund U.S. organizations, the IAF can use grants
to co-fund community development projects in partnership with diaspora
organizations in the U.S.   For more information about our grant making
