what a disgrace.  Building a $1million dollar tribute to himself while his
citizens go uneducated and hungry, not to mention unsafe.  Oh, yes, and
while Aristide and Neptune are accusing the U.S. of "economic terrorism."
    I share the skepticism expressed on this list by others that new
elections would, by some miracle, yield effective and altruistic leaders
unlike all those who have gone before in Haiti.  Kathleen Burke
