Hip-hop star Wyclef Jean and his fashion designer wife Marie Claudinette 
Jean have adopted a baby from Haiti, their homeland.

Jean is an avid campaigner for the troubled Caribbean island, which has 
witnessed escalating violence over the past year despite a United Nations 
presence in the country.

At a friend's party in New York City on Sunday, April 3, the gushing Jeans 
proudly showed off their new daughter Angelina Claudinelle, adopted in 
March.
