Isn't it a better idea to charge him with the crimes he is accused of?  Isn't releasing a suspected murderer sending the wrong message as far as the legitimacy of the Haitian criminal system is concerned?

In what civilized country does the government simply allow "immediate release" of suspected murderers?  I know of none.  Charging him with the crime is the answer, not releasing him.
