Aristide BEGGED to be taken out, he was so afraid of the rebels and their
followers.  He and his wife were also fully packed, and had sent their
children on ahead.

I too wish he had been left, despite his pleas, to face the consequences of
his actions in Haiti. It is a coup on his part that he managed to blame his
actions on others.
