Centre d"Art today in Haiti paid hommage to Andre Pierre, a frail
but very living Andre Pierre. While musicians played drums along the
veranda, Andre was wheelchaired into the main gallery surrounded
by his paintings and facing a bronze sculpture of himself.

The hommage was organized in part to counteract two circulating emails
referring to the death of Andre Pierre.

FOKAL screened the Arnold Antonin biopic on Andre Pierre and
the two major papers had double page spreads on his life.

Hommage to an artist while he is still alive.
