From: Lauredansr@aol.com
Mr Lucas has expressed thru poetry the reality some Haitians in Haiti refuse
to face. It is unfortunate no leaders stand up to advocate on behalf of the
Diaspora. The silence is almost
equal to being guilty.
There may be light in the tunnel, now people, like Mr. Lucas, are asking why
are we providing for you in every step of the way and you consider us
braindless and your enemy?
If the elections are held, there will new leaders in Haiti as of February 7,
2006. We need to attend the inauguration, whether we are invited or not and
publicly demand that the new leadership vote on double nationaly within 90
days.
If our demands are not met on a timely manner, then the Diaspora needs to
band together, speaks with one voice and holds all transfers of food, cloting
and money, all phone calls, and all contacts for one week or until the our
request is satisfied. Everyone in Haiti will feel so much pain that the
country
may explode on the very sight of the same leaders. Let's be hopeful that the
new leadership will be wiser than the those in the past.
In its delayed steps toward the path of development, Haiti, like Israel and
other countries, needs all its sons and daughters, including the Diaspora.
