Dear Friends

The Alliance of Overseas Haitians is happy to invite you to a meeting
scheduled long time ago but which had taken suddenly a greater =
importance,
due to President Boniface rash and non constitutional response to Haiti
Highest Court latest round of decisions. If abided by, these decisions =
would
have given to us, Overseas Haitians the right to fully participate in =
the
political life of the country. This meeting is called to start the =
process
of designing, articulating and then conducting a common policy of the
Haitian Diaspora toward Haiti. This effort should lead to the full
restoration of our rights in Haiti, a mandatory and intermediary step =
needed
to put our own imprint in the developmental process of Haiti. Professor
G=E9rard Bissainthe, Former Haiti High Commissioner of Haitians Living =
Abroad,
presently living in the South of France, having conducted that struggle
since 1989 is touring the US these days to help us organize the Haitian
Diaspora in the US. He will be on hand to deliver the keynote address =
and
participate in the debate. =20

The gathering is specially called to facilitate a meeting between the
leaders and heads of all Haitian organizations of the region, in order =
to
adopt an administrative structure able to sustain and conduct that =
common
policy of the overseas Haitians toward Haiti, while still pursuing their =
own
agenda. However all concerned individuals, Haitian or not are invited.=20
