The Florida Sun Sentinel has a very interesting Haiti page on its website.
There are several articles about their reporter Michael Laughlin who was shot
in the neck the same day that the Spanish reporter Ortega was killed shortly
after Aristide's 2004 departure near the Palace. Stories and pictures document
the shootings, the trip to the hospital where you can see the 2 reporters and
other wounded packed in the back of a van. There is also a very touching
story about how Laughlin went back the the house where he took refuge after
being
shot to thank a family took care of him. The Sun Sentinel has outstanding
coverage of Haiti and permanent pictures and stories on its website. It's a
great resource. (I don't work for them. I just think it is the deepest
newpaper coverage of Haiti)
