This election is finally happening! I was starting to doubt that any
Haitians actually wanted one again. We signed up for a live365 to listen
to radio Kiskeya and Caraibes. I cannot get Radyo Ginen to come in,
bummer. Anyone else in otazini able to listen to Ginen? On a mac?

Talking to people back home, they say that lots of folks are heading to
the country to get away from the election tho. Expecting violence from
someone or other

Interesting to see the Militants of the Organization Populaire calling
people to vote. I watched them on television last summer at the funeral
of Dread Wilme. They were basically threatening people if they got a
carte electoral. The Liberian solution I guess; Pol Pot'ists. They
didn't actually promise to cut off the hands of anyone caught with an
election card, but close.

Now General Toutou is promising us that he is a peaceful political
militant! Kul. Glad to hear it.

One blan friend from Saint Louis du Missouri who hasn't fled the
kidnappers (like I did) says that Charlito says he wants the occupation
finished within three months and Preval says they need to stay a long
time. So, he's for Preval. Good idea! I doubt the militants from the
Organization Populaire agree with the UN staying on a long time tho. .
All the people in my family back home are for Preval. Me too.

How long is a vote count supposed to take?

Sitting on needles and pins in the kalifornya redwoods...Longing to be
back in Marigot...
