As for last election, the press selects its information from other source
in a way that conforts his first impression (ei his fixer breafing). I
have noticed that some of them is actually taking info from the corbett
press room...

Millions of stories to tell, but always the same quotes from a handfull
of haitians in the dozens of articles made by different journalist. sad.

At least tell us the story of whats happening on the veranda, or montana
view point even the amoried vehicules, but please stop repeating what you
hear on the radio, press realases or on the Cobett list.

BTW, With all du respect, what is Kofi talking about when he mentions
that these elections, unlike the past one, was peaceful / made in absence
of violence. I'll defy anyone to cite me an act of violence during
presidential election day in 2000.. remember, people washing the street
with handbrushes, painting the street post...In the same mind set, Mr
Morse, I was in Cite Soleil at the last election, they were voting polls
all overs, so maybe the turn out you saw this year can be explained by
fewer polls and migrating voters.... As I remember, at that time, alot of
energy was spent on the steel foundation guys and visiting journalists on
the veranda rather than outside the wall.

see ya soon.
