There is a new book:
Revolutionary Freedoms: A Story of Survival Strength and Imagination in
Haiti. Edited by Cecile Accilien, Jessica Adams and Elmide Meleance with
contributions from many other scholars and 50 beautiful paintings by Ulrick
Jean-Pierre. (April 26, 2006 Caribbean Studies Press, Deerfield Beach, FL)

I am seeking references to scholarly articles dealing with Haitian art
about the Haitian Revolution (1791-1804) that might be suitable as
readings in a seminar on representations of that event. References in
English or French would be appreciated.
