Another Tap Tap relic is the Nov. 1987 brochure entitled, "Les Tap
Tap-Haitiens; 1000 Messages et Slogans Compulses Par; Lyonel
Paquin." At publication time his New York address was P.O. Box
20216, NY, NY 10025. In Haiti, Box 247, Port Au Prince. This 18
page brochure was available at the Haitian Cultural Center at the
time. Reynald Lally has a copy of the text. My favorite in Jacmel
was La Vie Drole, which died gracefully near the coffee warehouse.
You may remember that Andre Normil did a poster for Haitian tourism
in the mid 80s featuring tap taps and a cross section of Haitian
society. A few of these posters are still available.
