NCHR's Executive Director to Pursue Other Professional Opportunities Dear Friends and Supporters of the National
Coalition for Haitian Rights,

NCHR’s longtime Executive Director, Jocelyn McCalla,
has resigned his position to pursue other
professional opportunities.

NCHR’s Board is grateful to Mr. McCalla for his more
than twenty years of service, courage and dedication
to the organization and its mission.  His guidance
has been essential to supporters of democracy and
human rights in Haiti, and to the many Haitian,
American and international institutions he has assisted.

Throughout his career with NCHR, Mr. McCalla has
been widely recognized as the leading human rights
expert and advocate on behalf of the people of Haiti
and Haitian asylum seekers in their quest for human
dignity and justice.  We know that the many
supporters and friends of NCHR share our enduring
respect for Mr. McCalla’s outstanding contributions
and leadership.

The Board is now assessing the organization's
prospects and options in light of needs and
resources.  As always, thank you for your continuing
support of NCHR and our mission.
