well, as Kathleen has already stated, i never intended to question Pina's courage "!!!", which i actually admire. it is his objectivity that i question, for he has seemed to me to be so obviously far more intent on producing aristide/lavalas propaganda than sound, objective (or, since you insist, "fair") reporting that one might be tempted to compare him to ira kurzban, or to simply call a spade a spade and a demagogue a demagogue.  furthermore, to delude people into believing that a man is a saint (i.e., aristide) when in reality there is clearly reason to belive, quite objectively or "fair"ly, that he in fact abused his power to a degree to which some people's human rights were abused as a result, then you have quite the opposite of a human rights hero deserving of a medal, don't you? and to do both (report unobjectively and consecrate a human rights abuser) hardly constitutes candidacy for any "Human Rights Reporting Award".
