This phrase alone discredits the writer.
There was no seizure, just accommodation for what was seen as the greater
good.
Aristide and his wife were fully packed, had sent their children on ahead,
had BEGGED for U.S. military help, AND abandoned their Haitian bodyguards
after promising they would not.
Sorta like they did to Haiti.
