An 1819 Marriage Record in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, for Charles
Mananson, age 26 and the son of Pier Mananson and Magdalenne Dupré, says
that he was a native of "Malmel, Isle of Santo Domingo."  Does anyone have
any ideas or information about where "Malmel" would have been in Haiti
during this time period or to what town or area the record may have been
referring?
