First of all, M. Pierre does not have an organization in Haiti, however, does
sympathize with the Workers' Movement seeking democratic rights to organize
Unions and justice for workers throughout Haiti. Your reference point is
baseless. This article is among other false statements written by Aristidian
'Gran
Manje' (Big Eaters)/Bureaucratic Bourgeoisie fanatics. It is totally out of
context. In the context of the firing of 400 workers in the free trade zone
(CODEVI) in Ouanaminthe in 2004, (That was after Ariside left Haiti), the
AFL-CIO's
Solidarity Center gave $3,500 to help the workers, and later, offered to do
some fundraising internationally to build a center for worker education. This
money referred to in the article was not for the workers' movement at all.
However, the Solidarity Center did help partially open up the center in
Ouanaminthe.
Those who wrote the article are part of a mantra of a well-paid
network of Aristide propagandists in the United States who wish to destroy the
Haitian Working Class Movement in the interests of the lavalas bureaucratic
bourgeoisie (Gran Manje=Big Eaters), the free trade zone bourgeoisie and the
imperialists. They always brandish this State Department/NED issue to confuse
everyone and intimidate those who support the workers' movement. That's not
going to
work. And look who's talking! : A supporter of the dictator Aristide who
betrayed the aspirations of the Haitian masses, who returned on the backs of
25,000
U.S. marines and soldiers in a cage in total violation of Haiti's Sovereignty
for the 1994 US occupation of Haiti, and who together with his opposition
brothers and sisters for different reasons, also called for the occupation of
Haiti in January-February 2004. Unfortunately, Aristide was not the beneficiary
of the occupation this time around. Please, don't get me started!

Does M.Pierre's "bourgeois kingdom" include the $449,965 in US State
Department
and NED funded programs for his organizaiton?
